AFTER SUNSET

Star Gazing session

This is a 45 minutes to an hour long session, an astronomical ride as we like to call it.

We go step by step, deeper into the universe and see what amazing celestial wonders it holds.

Starting with the basics, we learn how to navigate through the stars. Finding the North direction/pole star with the help of constellations, moving onto various constellations along with the stories revolving around them and some mind blowing facts!

As we move forward with the session, we observe some beautiful star clusters holding more than a thousand stars in them through the telescope and learn how two completely different kinds of clusters can be equally astonishing.
Near about the middle of the session, we observe some deep sky objects such as a galaxy or a nebula, some thing so far away that we can't reach their in human years but thanks to the light travelling from them, that we can still see it through a state if the art telescope!

In the last few minutes of the session, we observe the planets in our solar system, we get to see the mars, jupiter along with it's four galilean moons and it's equatorial bands; and then we move on to the jewel king of our solar system. Yes, we do have a jewel king in our solar system and that's saturn, called so because of it's beautiful rings and the number of moons it holds.
We learn some amazing facts about these planets, their atmosphere and natural satellites and various missions in this session and then we move on to the last step of this session.
A wonder that we can observe from our naked eyes too and have been listening to hundreds of stories about it from our grandparents.
Luna, our moon!
The beauty let alone of our moon leaves our guests aw-struck. Talking about it's formation, the myths revolving around it and some facts definitely gives them a whole new level of enlightenment.

This astronomical ride that we offer is an experience that one must have at least once in their lifetime and we are always their to answer all of your queries about it.

BEFORE SUNSET

Solar observation

As the name suggests, we observe the sun in this session through a telescope, now one might wonder, how? Isn't it dangerous? What if it hurts the eyes?

To answer that, we use a 1000 oak solar filter during this activity as a protection against the harmful rays of the sun.
Also, we conduct a small experiment to show why one should not look at the sun directly through the naked eyes or a binocular or even telescope without the filter.

In this activity, we get to see the magnificent dark spots on the sun and learn some facts about it too, such as a distance of the sun from earth or the temperature, or how does the aurora form!

Rocketry

Stardust stem activities like hydro and stomp, I.e. Air and water powered rockets is a way to educate the children about the science behind these rockets.

Stomp rocket teaches the young kids the science behind the Rockets and uses air as an fuel , education with entertainment is a way of teaching  the kids the concepts and aerodynamics of the rocket.

Stomp rocket uses air as an fuel , kids above 4-5 years can easily learn the aerodynamics behind these rockets as it uses daily household material like paper , tapes etc.

It is a 20-30 minute workshop  wherein the kids will be taught how to make and launch there own rockets.
